The Bella Vita Story
It all started July of 2017 while on vacation at a restaurant near Zion Canyon. There was a great meal with our extended family. The food was spectacular and fresh. The chef at Cordwood said it was all grown onsite and that is where we were introduced to aquaponics. Fish and vegetables grown together in the middle of no where at Zion Mountain Ranch in Mount Carmel, Utah. We all traveled back to our homes; in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Georgia. We could not stop thinking about the experience of the meal, the gathering and concept of aquaponics.
In August while driving on Zion Road we saw the farm. We couldn’t help but notice that Zion Mountain Ranch and Zion Road would be that connection to the great meal we had. It was a beautiful, serene property and begging for a new purpose and adventure. We purchased the farm in September of 2017 and gave it a new name. Bella Vita (a beautiful life) Farm was the new name and the beginning of the new journey.
